5k/10k Training Program
Information night:

Reeds Lake 5k/10k Training Program

Train for a 5k/10 event:
This training group is for  the beginner 5k and 10k runner leading up to the Reeds Lake Run. 10K participants should be able to run 2 miles at the start of the program.

Training start date: Monday, May 7
Group trains: Mondays 6pm at Gazelle Sports & Wednesdays 6pm in East Grand Rapids

Information night:
June 19, 6 pm

Mitchell's Run 5k Training Program

Train for a 5k event:
This 8 week training program is geared towards a runner who beginning training for a 5k up to the advance runner looking to increase their speed. Race day is August 18, 2012. Enjoy the fun group atmosphere as you begin training for Mitchell's Run. 

Training start date: Monday, June 25, 6pm 
Group trains:
Mondays 6pm at Gazelle Sports & Wednesdays 6pm in East Grand Rapids

Half Marathon Training Program

Information night:

Summer Safari Half Marathon and Marathon Training Program

Train for a Half or Full Marathon
This training program is geared towards beginners looking to complete their first half marathon or full marathon, or runners who have already crossed the finish line. The Summer Safari group offers great support for your long runs with motiviating team leaders at all paces. The half marathon and full marathon are both geared towards the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon but fit in well with any fall event.. Note: You must be able to run three miles by the start of this program.

Marathon Training start date: Saturday, June 16
Marathon group trains: Wednesdays 6pm & Saturdays 7:30am

Half MarathonTraining start date: Saturday, July 14
Half Marathon group trains: Wednesdays 6pm & Saturdays 7:30am

Information night:

Race for the Cure 5k Training Program (Women Only)

Train for a 5k event:
This 8 week training group is a Women Only training group for the beginner 5k runner who wants to run the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k. Join the nearly 7,000 runners on Sept 22, 2012 who will participate in this awesome event.

Training start date: Tuesday, July 31 6am
Group trains: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6am or 6pm at the East Grand Rapids Track.

5k/10k Training Program
Information night:
August 21, 6 pm

Run Thru the Rapids 5k/10k Training Program

Train for a 5k/10k event:
This 8 week training program is for the beginner runner who wants to complete a 5k, advance 5k runner looking to improve their time and any 10k runner!
Race date is October 20,2012.  This event has the energy of the Grand Rapids Marathon weekend, and is a great community event to participate in.

Training start date: Monday, August 27, 6pm 
Group trains:
Mondays & Wednesdays 6pm at Gazelle Sports and East Grand Rapids

Half Marathon and Marathon Training Program

Information Night:

Summer Safari Half Marathon and Marathon Training Program

Train for a half marathon or full marathon
This training program is geared towards beginners looking to complete their first half marathon or full marathon, or runners who have already crossed the finish line. The Summer Safari group offers great support for your long runs with coaches, nutrition, unique courses and hydration. The half marathon is geared towards the Holland Hospital Park to Park and the full marathon is geared towards the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon. Note: You must be able to run 4 miles by the start of this program.

Training start date: Saturday, June 16, 7am at Gazelle Sports, Holland. 
Half Marathon group trains:
Wednesday at 5:45 pm & Saturdays at 7 am 
Marathon group trains:

Wednesday at 5:45 pm & Saturdays at 7 am

This 10 week training program has a special focus on beginners. Runners who participate in this training program will be ready to run Strides for Health on August 20! The fun group atmosphere is a great way to train for a 5k!

Want to run the Girls on the Run 5k but not sure where to begin? This program is for you! We’ve designed this Gazoom couch to 5k training program in partnership with Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run to help you get ready to run with the girls on
May 24, 2012.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this program. Please note, however, that the Girls on the Run 5k is an un-timed event.

This 5k/10k training program is for beginning runners, returning from hiatus runners, can’t quite stick to my schedule runners, I’m a jogger, not a “runner” runners and really, it’s for YOU! We will get you to the finish line with a fun and supportive group atmosphere.

Group trains: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm

Note: You must be able to run 4 miles by the start of this program.
