The 17th version of Asics flagship structured cushioning model continues to offer top-of-the-line technology, with improvements to the upper for exceptional fit. The GEL Kayano 17 maintain the classic ride and platform comfort that has made these series an icon.

Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.): Asics Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
Guidance Line: Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
Discrete Heel Unit: Takes the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) to a new level by creating our highest degree of shock attenuation and stability.

"My mom and I came into your downtown Kalamazoo store last Friday. We arrived there around 11 am. The store was, what I thought, very busy. We were asked to wait, which was no problem as we were not in a hurry. After about 15 minutes of waiting, out came Kathleen. Mind you, in the mean time, we were thanked by one of the salesmen (I wish I would have caught his name) several times for our waiting. Kathleen was wonderful and well worth waiting for. She listened as we told her what we were looking for and what we would be doing (i.e., walking/running). She was honest and very knowledgeable about the products she was selling. She had a wonderful personality. As I was checking out, the same salesman thanked me again for waiting.
