Product Details

This has long been the shoe runners turn to when they need more support and stability than a typical stability shoe provides. Ideal for moderate to more severe overpronators, we've made it lighter, with a wide toe box and the new Solyte® Plus midsole design.

Features:

  • Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) : ASICS® Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
  • Guidance Line™: Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
  • Discrete Heel Unit: Takes the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) to a new level by creating our highest degree of shock attenuation and stability.
  • Dynamic Cradle: A molded midsole component engineered for specific foot types to enhance guidance and fit
  • Plus 3: 3mm of additional height on women's models helps relieve achilles tension.
  • Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning: A top layer of injected Solyte® provides a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. Women's models feature a lower density for improved cushioning and forefoot comfort.
  • Gender Specific Space Trusstic System: Recognizes the normal periodic changes in the shape of the woman's arch and provides for the controlled deformation of the arch into the space within the system.
  • Biomorphic Fit Upper: Stretch material strategically placed on the upper helps to reduce buckling and the potential for irritation.
  • Discrete Eyelets: Independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension, creating a customized fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort.

Sandra D. of Holland, MI says:

"When I visited Gazelle Sports (in Holland) late in February, my goal was to find a pair of shoes that minimized the foot pain I was experiencing as I upped the mileage for my walks in preparation for a Komen event. Jessica provided an evaluation, and advised that the shoes I had been wearing were wrong, and advised a different style. She also suggested, very nicely – I might add, that I was walking badly (my words – not hers), and when I asked what to do about that she told me about GFR, and suggested I sign up for a session. To make a long story short – the shoes were awesome!! I was able to walk 8 miles the next day – with little pain. I attended a GFR session early in March and have been amazed with how I feel now that I’ve been working on the form for a few weeks. Outcome - - I have been able to jog – something which I’ve never comfortably done for more than a ˝ mile in the past. Yesterday I jogged for 5+ miles, and felt great! My feet, my knees, and my spirit are healthy. I have just signed up for my first 5k, and am hoping to do a half marathon this summer. Thank you!"
