The Half Mass's main compartment is padded on the back and along the contoured base to provide protection and structure for the stay-open design. Inside, a removable, padded computer sleeve suspends a 15-inch or smaller laptop off the ground and has a file organizer built into its side. The cover flap extends over the sides of the bag to protect contents from rain and a low-profile front pocket closes with a water-resistant zipper. External side pockets hold a cell phone, keys and power brick. Other features include a padded, adjustable shoulder strap with a self-closing buckle, a removable shoulder strap pocket for easy access to an MP3 player or cell phone, a stowable waist strap, bottom compression straps that hold a yoga mat, and a reflective strip for better visibility in low light. Made with a 600-denier recycled polyester exterior and a 200-denier polyester liner; both have a polyurethane coating and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

"My mom and I came into your downtown Kalamazoo store last Friday. We arrived there around 11 am. The store was, what I thought, very busy. We were asked to wait, which was no problem as we were not in a hurry. After about 15 minutes of waiting, out came Kathleen. Mind you, in the mean time, we were thanked by one of the salesmen (I wish I would have caught his name) several times for our waiting. Kathleen was wonderful and well worth waiting for. She listened as we told her what we were looking for and what we would be doing (i.e., walking/running). She was honest and very knowledgeable about the products she was selling.
