Patagonia Women's Torrentshell Jacket

Tropical rain forests share at least one thing with the Patagonia Ice Cap: wet weather. For trekking and hiking in drenching conditions, our new Torrentshell provides 2.5-layer waterproof/breathable protection that's durable, lightweight and without frills. The jacket stuffs into one of two zippered handwarmer pockets (and has a clip-in loop); the hood fits snugly over a helmet, rolls down, stows away, and has a laminated visor; and the center zipper has exterior and interior storm flaps. With pit zips for added ventilation, a microfleece-lined neck and chin and a drawcord hem.

  • 2-way-adjustable hood rolls down and stows; microfleece-lined neck and chin for comfort and enhanced protection of barrier
  • Center zipper has exterior and interior storm flaps to keep water out; pit zips with storm flaps and DWR-treated zippers for wet-weather protection

Patagonia Women's Torrentshell Jacket (PATAGONIA FEED/INVENTORY ISSUE)
GREAT rain jacket! perhaps not as waterproof as the rainshadow, but works just as well. It has a nice tapered fit which is great if you need to wear it to the office on a rainy day!

Sandra D. of Holland, MI says:

"When I visited Gazelle Sports (in Holland) late in February, my goal was to find a pair of shoes that minimized the foot pain I was experiencing as I upped the mileage for my walks in preparation for a Komen event. Jessica provided an evaluation, and advised that the shoes I had been wearing were wrong, and advised a different style. She also suggested, very nicely – I might add, that I was walking badly (my words – not hers), and when I asked what to do about that she told me about GFR, and suggested I sign up for a session. To make a long story short – the shoes were awesome!! I was able to walk 8 miles the next day – with little pain. I attended a GFR session early in March and have been amazed with how I feel now that I’ve been working on the form for a few weeks. Outcome - - I have been able to jog – something which I’ve never comfortably done for more than a ½ mile in the past. Yesterday I jogged for 5+ miles, and felt great! My feet, my knees, and my spirit are healthy. I have just signed up for my first 5k, and am hoping to do a half marathon this summer. Thank you!"
